Because The Pro SMP does not sell any ranks or other Pay-To-Win garbage, our only source of income are donations by our contributors. We greatly appreciate your donation, even if it’s just a few euros or dollars (or any other desired currency)!
Good to know: contributors get the same care as any other player. Donating won’t make you invincible against the rules and won’t get you softer punishments or a special treatment by admins.

We use Open Collective for donations as it allows us to easily manage funds for this server with full transparency on what’s being earned and spent behind the scenes. If you want to donate using it, click here! Via Open Collective, we offer two payment methods. Please read more about them below to learn about the difference between both.

While we’re incredibly grateful for your support, we kindly ask our underage players to seek parental permission before making any donations. Remember, generosity is a wonderful thing, but it’s always important to make responsible financial decisions! If you’re feeling generous and have some extra resources, we’d be thrilled to receive your support. Just be sure to donate only what you can comfortably afford! Donating via Credit or Debit Card

The first payment method advertised on Open Collective is credit/debit card. This payment method is instant, meaning that after donating you’ll be added to the list of contributors on our Open Collective immediately. But please note: we pay fees over donations via this payment methods. This means that the smaller the donation is, the more fees go to the payment processor. If you’re fine with waiting for your payment to be processed manually in trade for no transaction fees, read further.

Donating via PayPal or SEPA (preferred!)

This payment method is advertised on Open Collective as “Bank transfer (manual)”. When picking for this option, you’ll get to see a message with a contribution ID. Save this ID carefully for as long as your donation hasn’t been processed yet! In this same message you’ll see more information about donating via PayPal or SEPA.
This paypal method usually does not have transaction fees*, meaning that we will receive 100% of your donation. In addition to that, your donation is processed much, much faster than donations via credit/debit cards.
* Disclaimer: depending on what bank and what account plan you have, you might have fees for payments you do. We aren’t responsible for this and can’t provide you more information about this. Please contact your bank instead!

Our preferred payment method via Open Collective is via “Bank transfer (manual)”. Donations via credit/debit card are completely fine too, but keep in mind that we will have to pay transaction fees causing us to receive a smaller part of your donation.

Important (legal) information about donating

Here comes the boring part. Because The Pro SMP isn’t a registered company or foundation, you’ll be donating to Mees, a private individual. This means that any consumer rights do not apply on your donation. In addition to that, you must note that a donation is a gift of money. Do not expect anything in return. Our wall of fame and our donator prefix/role on Minecraft and Discord are a nice extra you’re getting, but we can take these away or deny to give them at any time for any reason. Donations are non-refundable, with only a few exceptions as written below.
Never use someone else’s payment method (such as credit card, debit card, PayPal account or bank account)! This is considered as fraud, which is a crime. People under the age of 18 need explicit consent from their parents/guardians before they can donate. People under the age of 13 aren’t allowed to donate at all. We expect all donators to honour this rule! If regrettably any unauthorized donations took place, or if parents/guardians found out their children donated without their consent, please contact us at admin@theprosmp.com with all possible methods of identifying the transaction. We will then refund the money and if possible block the person behind the donation from ever donating again.

Good to know: we never intended to make profit with The Pro SMP, and we never plan to do so either. All money that comes in is spent on our Minecraft server and on nothing else. In order to be fully transparent, you can keep track on our income and expenses via our Open Collective.
