Automatic drop collecting
One of the biggest issues on Minecraft servers is the lag caused by XP orbs and item drops. And it’s not just the potential lag issues that is the downside of Minecraft’s item and XP drop system. After all, most people should be able to relate to the issue of having trails of items left behind while having a tool with a high efficiency enhancement level. From collecting sand in the desert to farming XP in mob XP farms, this issue applies everywhere in Minecraft.
That’s why you can decide to use an automatic drop collection system on the classic server. With just one command (/drop2inv
), you can toggle the drop collection system on or off at any time you want. The automatic drop collection system applies both on items and on XP orbs, and automatically collects these where you’d otherwise have to manually pick them up.
To keep ender dragon fights fun and fair for everyone who participates in them, the automatic drop collection system never applies to the XP orbs coming from killing the ender dragon. These XP orbs will thus never end up in the hands of a single player!
